Fall is officially here and Universal Orlando Resort is ready to celebrate! My favorite time of year has always been the start of Fall/Halloween. While Halloween Horror Nights is a major fan favorite for Universal Orlando this time of year, due to the world’s circumstances, HHN has been canceled. Universal has still done a wonderful job helping find the magic and continue the Halloween Horror Nights celebration, just in a different way!

Universal Orlando is celebrating the Halloween season EVERY DAY starting October 3rd – November 1st.

Haunted Houses

Universal brought to life 2 Haunted Houses, which were intended to be used for Halloween Horror Nights. With your park ticket, you now have access to 2 haunted houses during the DAY, which has never happened before! As an Annual Passholder, I had the opportunity to preview both of these haunted houses and Universal has done a wonderful job both with the houses and continuing to practice safety and social distancing guidelines. When you enter the line, you will be required to wait with your group on a marker before the party in front of you moves ahead. You will be distanced by your group/family and will be told when to move ahead by the attendants inside and outside of the houses. When you are in the houses, you will see attendants with glow wands telling you when to move and when to stop. I personally thought that because of distancing, you get more time in the houses and get to see more of the décor that is displayed in each house. I also found it to be a bit scarier, just because I can’t move quickly past the scare-actors. I’m forced to wait next to them, which some people may enjoy, but for this scaredy cat, I was terrified but tried to keep my cool! All scare-actors are also behind plexiglass so that way everyone remains safe and from a distance. Universal has done a wonderful job with both of these houses. This is such a major perk visiting Universal Orlando right now, because Universal has never allowed Halloween Horror Nights houses to operate during the day!

Universal Monsters: The Bride of Frankenstein Lives

“We belong dead.” The last words of Frankenstein’s monster on that fateful night when his Bride rejected him. But his end was her beginning. Now the Bride is stepping out of the shadows to bring him back. And there’s nothing she won’t do as she sharpens her brilliance by experimenting on unsuspecting victims. The mate will have her monster. And the monster his mate.

Revenge of the Tooth Fairy

The innocent traditions of the tooth fairy hide a darker ritual. All children must give up their baby teeth to the goblinesque tooth fairies or pay a gruesome price. Step into an old manor that has been overrun by yellow-clawed fiends who extract teeth by force. It’s an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth.

The Virtual Line experience is available for the haunted houses. When you’re on property, use the official Universal Orlando Resort app to select a return time for your group. I suggest trying to get a Virtual Line pass as soon as the park opens or a bit earlier. If you are staying on Universal Property, you can access the Virtual Line and make your reservations. Do this as early as possible because sometimes the Haunted Houses reach capacity and you will not be able to join the Virtual Line or regular line either. Make sure to check the Universal app to see if the Haunted Houses are operating in a stand by line or Virtual Line each day of your visit.

Note: The haunted houses may be too intense for young children, so Universal recommends that children under the age of 13 not enter the houses. No costume masks are also not allowed.
