The Grinch and Friends breakfast has returned to Universal’s Islands of Adventure and I got to experience the first breakfast of Universal’s 2022 holiday season!

This buffet breakfast experience is held on select dates now (November 12th) through December 29th, 2022. Breakfast reservation times are 9 AM, 9:30 AM, 10 AM, 10:30 AM, and 11 AM.

The Grinch and Friends breakfast experience takes place at Circus McGurkus Cafe Stoo-pendous at Islands of Adventure. Be sure to print your tickets first at the park ticket kiosks located outside of the park. You can also stop by Guest Services to collect your tickets, but the park ticket kiosks are super quick and easy to use to pick them up. Once you have our tickets, you’ll check in out front of Circus McGurkus Cafe Stoo-pendous. You’ll want to only check in close to your reservation time otherwise they will tell you to wait off to the side of the restaurant until it’s time for you to be seated.

Once it’s time for you to eat, you’ll be welcomed by the Whos as soon as you enter! Guests will enjoy a breakfast buffet with themed food and specialty treats. I’m not a fan of buffets, but this food was really good! You’ll find a fruit display, scrambled eggs, sausage links, biscuits & gravy, mini croissants, baked French toast, chicken & waffles, an overnights oats bar, and more! My favorites were the green eggs and ham breakfast pizza, Who Hash tater tots, “Max” treat cookies, and the Grinch cookies with red velvet hearts. There were a lot of great options (both sweet and savory) at this buffet! Feel free to grab more if you want seconds. You will also be offered coffee, juice, and water. If you want a soft drink, your server will give you a cup to take to the Freestyle fountain machine in the restaurant to get your drink.

As you are eating, you’ll get to visit the Grinch and his friends! You’ll meet the Grinch himself, Sam, and some local Whos as they may their way around to your table. It was such a fun character experience with all of them and I’m so happy I got to join in on the fun. As the characters make their way around to your table, there will also be a photographer there with them. You will receive one digital download photo with the Grinch to download your photo once your meal is over. This is included in the price of your breakfast.

Tickets are $41.99 plus tax per adult (Ages 10+). Tickets are  $26.00 per child plus tax (Ages 3-9). It’s important to note that the price does not include admission to Universal’s Islands of Adventure theme park. A separate theme park admission is required and for the same date as the breakfast. Advance reservations are required and must be made at least 24 hours prior to arriving in order to book your breakfast time on your selected date,
