I ate at Cafe May Cafe for the first time and can officially say it was such a great experience! Cape May Cafe is located at Disney’s Beach Club Resort. This resort is such a short walk to Epcot, making it the perfect location to dine if you’re heading to the park right after you eat.
Choose to dine at Cape May for either breakfast or dinner and enjoy a New-England-style restaurant for buffet meals. I’m typically not a fan of buffets, but this one was great! I love the theme of Cape May – it goes well with the hotel (think Atlantic beach hotel!)
Cape May Cafe offers 2 different dining experiences:
Minnie’s Beach Bash Breakfast with Minnie Mouse and Friends
A Dinner Buffet with flavors from the New England coast (Note: Characters do not appear at dinner)
We ate here for breakfast and I loved it! This is a great way to meet some of your favorite characters without having to wait in long lines for them. All while enjoying a delicious breakfast!
Advance reservations are highly recommended.
Characters
Minnie’s Beach Bash Breakfast features Minnie Mouse and her friends including Donald and Daisy Duck and Goofy. You’ll meet them in their beach-inspired looks and they are SO cute! You’ll be able to get some great photos and autographs with each of them as they come through the restaurant. They even stop to do their beach bash dance and it’s so cute! The interactions with the characters were great. Even though we were only there for about an hour, the characters came around more than once! Note: Characters only appear during breakfast and appearances are subject to change.
Menu
Cape May serves an all-you-care-to-enjoy buffet menu. The price of this character dining experience is $45 per adult and $29 per child.
Each table will get an order of salted caramel “beach buns” when they arrive. You can order specialty drinks, coffee, and alcoholic/nonalcoholic drinks as well.
This breakfast buffet includes Mickey and Minnie Mouse waffles, scrambled eggs, potatoes, sausage, oatmeal, fruit, a carving station, and more. There was even a crepe maker with crepes to enjoy! You’ll also be able to order an omelet from the omelet station which was delicious.

Personal Review
I loved this restaurant! While it can be pricey for breakfast, I planned this meal around brunch so I was able to make it my breakfast/lunch. Since this meal includes characters, I knew that this was going to be a bit more pricey, but it was totally worth it getting to meet Minnie and her friends!

Since you went at a later breakfast time, can you share how that was? I want to do a late breakfast but since they don’t stay open for lunch, I was wondering if you feel rushed/they stop putting up new food right at 11:30? I’m worried if I did an 11:15 reservation for example we’d have a rushed 15 minutes to eat and then not be able to get more food after that. Thanks!
We didn’t feel rushed at all! They kept bringing out food, but did get to a stopping point around 12ish where it didn’t seem like they were putting anymore food out. The characters came out pretty quickly (one right after the other) but it never felt rushed. I actually liked it later because it seemed a little less busy. :)
