Disney Cruise Line currently has 5 ships in its fleet: Disney Magic, Disney Wonder, Disney Dream, Disney Fantasy, and the newest ship: Disney Wish! The Disney Wish is the largest ship in the fleet and the first of the Wish-class. I recently spent time on this ship and could not wait to share it with all of you! The Disney Wish joined the fleet in 2022. She is currently sailing 3 and 4-night Bahamas sailings from Port Canaveral, Florida.

Difference in Disney Wish vs. Other Disney Ships

The Disney Wish is beautiful. The artwork, decor, and style are typical of Disney with a wonderful theme. This ship is different from other Disney ships due to its layout. The Disney Wish features a Grand Hall, which is different than the typical atrium that Disney has on its other ships. When you board the ship, this is the first room that you will see and it’s amazing. The Grand Hall pays tribute to Cinderella, so I may be a bit biased on how much I love it so much since Cinderella is my favorite. ;) Fun fact: If you visit the Grand Hall at either 10 p.m. or midnight, you will witness a fun magical moment and a special kiss goodnight. (similar to what Disney does at Magic Kingdom when the park is officially closed).

Main Dining

Rotational Dining

Rotational dining is such a fun concept that Disney does. I love other cruise lines like Royal Caribbean, but rotational dining is something that I really enjoy with Disney. Rotational dining means that you will change restaurants each night of your Disney cruise. However, your waitstaff will move with you so that way you have the same waitstaff each night. I love this because they get to know you during your sailing and it’s great to see them each night. The Disney Wish has 3 themed dining experiences onboard. As part of rotational dining, you’ll get to experience 1923 (the golden age of animations), World of Marvel (an Avengers mission), and Arrendelle: A Frozen Dining Adventure. All 3 of these restaurants are unique and such a fun way to eat dinner each night.

Casual Dining

Marceline Market is home to American classics and international specialties. You will be able to get quick service for breakfast and lunch.

Poolside Dining

Mickey & Friends Festival of Foods are service meals consisting of Donald’s Cantina, Daisy’s Pizza Pies, Sweet Minnie’s Ice Cream, Goofy’s Grill, and Mickey’s Smokestack Barbeque.

Inside Out: Joyful Sweets is a quick-service snack (additional charges apply)

Wheezy’s Freezies has smoothies and snacks (additional charges apply)

Broadway Style Entertainment

Disney has to call their shows “Boardway Style” because even though the show can be the same standards as a Broadway musical you would see on Broadway since it’s a shorter length of production, they are required to call it this. While sailing on the Disney Wish, you’ll get to see a live performance of “Disney Seas the Adventure” which is a story that features songs and characters from great Disney films. “Disney’s Aladdin – A Musical Spectacular” and “The Little Mermaid” are other shows you will see on board.

Deck Shows

“Set Sail on a Wish” is the deck party show that you’ll get to see when you leave Port Canaveral.

“Pirates Rockin Parlay Party” is a pirate-themed show that features fireworks at sea. Did you know Disney Cruise Lines is the only cruise line allowed to launch fireworks at sea?

Character Experiences

You will see some of your favorite Disney friends on deck posing for photos at the Grand Hall or inside the Oceaneer Club.

*Special Note: Be sure to check the Navigator App to see all the fun for kids, adults, and entertainment throughout your cruise.

Adult Exclusive Areas

Adult-Only Restaurants

The Disney Wish has a great adult-only space for you to relax away from the kids. Want to book a Disney cruise and aren’t bringing kids? That’s okay too! Disney may cater to families but there are tons of adult-only entertainment for you to experience on board. Palo Steakhouse is an adult-only dining venue. Enchanté by Chef Arnaud Lallement is a very fancy adult-only restaurant where you can have a gourmet menu with French-inspired food. Both restaurants are inspired by Beauty and the Beast so you still have the Disney experience while eating at both of these restaurants.

Senses Spa

Senses Spa is home to The Rainforest. This is the indoor and outdoor space where adults can rest and relax. The indoor area has heated loungers, an aromatherapy steam room, a dry sauna, and an ice room. The outdoor space is the first of its kind on a Disney ship with a private space with whirlpool spas and lounge areas.

Adult-Only Lounge Areas

Keg & Compass: A maritime pub that has live sports on TV

Luna: The event/entertainment space onboard the Disney Wish. It is a family-use area during the day and at night is an adult-exclusive entertainment area.

Nightingale’s: Piano bar offering wines and cocktails.

Star Wars: Hyperspace Lounge: This bar makes you feel like you are in the middle of a Star Wars movie.

The Bayou: The Bayou makes you feel like you are in New Orleans. It even serves Tiana’s signature beignets.

The Rose:  This is a beautiful adult-only location that is themed from Beauty and the Beast.

The Cove: This is the perfect place to grab a specialty coffee in the morning. Then in the evening, geta nightcap and dessert before heading to a show. (not adult-only but a great place for adults to relax)

Currents: Get drinks a this bar

Kids Club

The best part of a Disney Cruise is the Kids Club that each ship offers. Disney is the creme de la creme of Kids Clubs on all ships because of the theme and detail that goes into each area. All activities are age-appropriate and supervised by the Kids Club staff. There is no charge for participating in youth activities.

“Its a Small World” Nursery (6 months to 3 years)

A nursery that provides childcare services for infants and toddlers, featuring a safe and stimulating environment with trained staff and age-appropriate activities.

Oceaneer Club (3 to 10 years)

The Oceaneer Club is home to interactive themed experiences, like the Walt Disney Imagineering Lab. Aspiring Imagineers can get a behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to bring Disney magic to life. They’ll even have a chance to participate in hands-on experiments and design their very own attraction! The young Avengers onboard can put their skills to the test and suit up for a virtual battle at Marvel Super Hero Academy.

Disney’s Oceaneer Lab (3 to 10 years)

Similar to Oceaneer Club, Oceaneer Lab provides interactive play and educational activities but with a focus on creativity and experimentation. The Oceaneer Lab and the Oceaneer Club are connected.

Edge (11 to 14 years)

Edge is a tween-exclusive space featuring high-tech entertainment, games, and activities, providing a hangout spot for older kids.

Vibe (14 to 17 years)

Vibe is a teens-only lounge where older kids can socialize, enjoy different entertainment options, and participate in themed events and activities.

Pool Area

The pool decks have been reimagined for the entire family to enjoy while on the ship. You’ll find 6 pools that are different depths and sizes. The AquaMouse is the first attraction at sea. This is a water coaster with animated scenes and special effects that takes you through the upper decks of the ship.
