During our visit to Disneyland, I made sure to book dining reservations at Plaza Inn Restaurant at Disneyland Park and I’m so glad I did! This was one of my favorite character dining experiences (and I’ve done a lot!) at any Disney park.

“Minnie and Friend’s Breakfast in the Park” is located at the Plaza Inn Restaurant, which is open daily at Disneyland Park.  This is an all-you-care-to-enjoy breakfast. This includes made-to-order omelets, Mickey waffles, french toast, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits and gravy, breakfast potatoes, fresh-baked pastries, and bread, fruit, and hot and cold cereals. I’m not a fan of buffets, but this didn’t seem like a typical buffet as you may think. I loved the made-to-order omelet station along with plenty of Mickey waffles to enjoy.

Plaza Inn has both indoor and outdoor seating. The indoor area is closer to the buffet, but tons of tables. The outdoor area is mostly all covered, but if it’s raining and cold, may not be the best location to sit in. We opted for indoors because of the weather and because I wanted to experience the ambiance of the restaurant.

When you arrive to the Plaza, you will check in outside and then walk through the courtyard of the restaurant. Minnie is the host, so you will meet her before you’re even seated. She is SO cute and you can get the best photos with her. If you want to wait until after you eat to visit her, you are also given that option as well.

Minnie and Friends breakfast only guarantees 3 characters during a meal, but we saw so many more than that. During our breakfast, we saw Pluto, Tigger, Winnie the Pooh, Chip and Dale, Suzy, Perla, and Daisy. Rumor has it that you may see other rare characters randomly, though it’s never guaranteed.

Breakfast in the Park with Minnie and Friends costs $41 per adult, age 10 years and up, and $24 per child, aged 3 to 9 years old. Kids under 3 years old are no charge for the “Minnie and Friends” breakfast.  Guests visiting Plaza Inn during breakfast will be required to pay for the Character Dining experience (except for children under 3 years of age).

Note: You can eat here for lunch and dinner as a quick service meal option, but Character Dining is only available during breakfast at this location.

Overall Review: I loved this dining experience! The food is actually really good and you get to see tons of characters all with great character interactions. This is such a better way to see your favorite characters without having to seek them out and wait in lines in the park. I suggest a breakfast reservation first thing at the park open so that way you can get your breakfast and see your characters, all before even starting your day in the park. I would definitely do this experience again!

Plaza Inn Breakfast with Minnie and Friends is a very popular character meal. Be sure to make your dining reservations 60 days ahead of your visit for the best chance at getting a reservation. Since I visited in February during a less busy time of year, they were accepting many walk-up reservations for the day, but that doesn’t always happen. It’s better to make your reservation in advance.

Ready to book your vacation to Disneyland? I would love to help! With my experience at the parks, I can help make your trip a magical one!
