Epcot’s Coral Reef Restaurant Review

It’s been a while since I’ve gotten to write a new restaurant review! I am so excited to say that I have finally eaten at Epcot’s Coral Reef Restaurant at Walt Disney World! I have only seen this restaurant featured on Full House (does anyone remember that episode where Danny tried to propose to his girlfriend with Scuba Mickey?! lol!)

Coral Reel Restaurant is located in World Nature in Epcot. This is close to the front of the park right next to The Seas with Nemo and Friends. You’ll get to enjoy great dining and amazing views of a living coral reef with more than 2,000 sea creatures!

In order to dine at this in-park table service restaurant, you must have a confirmed dining reservation as well as valid park admission for the same park on the same day along with a park reservation to enter Epcot. Remember, dining reservations do not guarantee access to a park, and Park Hopper availability may change daily. Advance reservations are highly recommended.

Coral Reef is open daily for lunch and dinner! We actually booked an Eat to the Beat dining package as part of the Eat to the Beat concert series during Epcot’s International Food and Wine Festival. More on that can be found here!

Underwater Dining Experience:

Did you know that “The Seas” is one of the largest man-made ocean environments on the planet? It holds enough water to fill 54 Olympic-sized swimming pools! This habitat has been designed by marine scientists for over 2,000 sea creatures to live in.

While you are dining, you can see sharks, sea turtles, and sting rays. We saw them all! You may even see a scuba-diving Mickey! When you arrive, ask for a table by the window so that way you can be up close to the aquarium. If you are eating as soon as they open for lunch or doing an early dinner, your chances are better for you to be able to get your table of choice. If you eat during a popular dining time, you may not have a choice in your seat because the restaurant is full.

Review:

I really enjoyed our meal and experience here! We had a great waiter, the food was great, and I loved the ambiance and theme of this restaurant. I ordered the caesar salad, cajun pasta, and chocolate wave. The portions were very big which was surprising. I was not a fan of the dessert because it had raspberry gelato. I thought it would be a dollop on top of the cake, but it was filled all around the bottom so it was a very overpowering taste. Dan had the key lime tart for dessert and said it was really good because it tasted like a mini-key lime pie. I would definitely eat here again! Everything about my time here was wonderful and I can highly recommend this restaurant. Where else can you eat great food and dine next to sealife?!
