About Celebrity Ascent
The Celebrity Ascent is an Edge-class cruise ship owned by Celebrity Cruises. The Ascent is the sister ship of Celebrity Edge, Celebrity Apex, and Celebrity Beyond. The ship began sailing on November 22nd, 2023.

The Ascent is an excellent ships for couples, adults, and families. I definitely recommend Celebrity if sailing without children or for families with children who are older or may not care about all of the entertainment that can be found on other cruise lines. The Ascent is known for its modern design, high-quality dining, and exceptional service. Passengers generally love the stunning, innovative venues like the Magic Carpet and the Eden lounge. I really enjoyed my time on this ship.

What Is Included

A lot of people think cruises are too expensive. Did you know there is SO much included with your cruise fare?  Check out everything included in your cruise vacation when sailing on Celebrity Ascent. This means you won’t pay extra for any of this!

Suite Staterooms (The Retreat)

Celebrity Cruises has luxurious suites for the ultimate at-sea experience. Celebrity offers the Retreat which features top-tier lodging including the 2-bedroom Iconic Suites, spacious Penthouse Suites, and Edge Villas with private hot tubs and direct deck access. Retreat guests enjoy a private sundeck, lounge, and Luminae restaurant.

When you book a suite, you will receive additional perks such as concierge service, priority boarding, departure privileges, and dedicated entertainment seating. When you choose a suite, you not only get the Celebrity experience but also personalized service, spacious accommodations, and special personal touches.

AquaClass

The AquaClass is wellness-focused staterooms with spa-inspired amenities, specialized dining at Blu, and unlimited access to the Thermal Suite.

Inside Staterooms
Inside staterooms don’t have a window so you will not have an exterior view from your room. These rooms have a picture frame on the wall where a regular window would be. No sunlight will come through your room with an inside room.

Celebrity may be geared more toward adults, but it is still considered  a family-friendly cruise line where you’ll find an area exclusive to children and teens. No matter your child’s age, they will find fun, and adventure. Celebrity Ascent is noted as a more relaxed, upscale option, perfect for families who prefer smaller, intimate activities over crowded water parks.
Check out these great areas for your children to enjoy:

Camp at Sea (Ages 3-12): Features specialized rooms for different age groups (Shipmates, Cadets, Captains) offering arts and crafts, STEM activities, and treasure hunts.

Teen Club (Ages 13-17): An exclusive space for teens to socialize, featuring video game tournaments (Xbox partnership), silent discos, and sports competitions.

The Rooftop Garden: A relaxed outdoor space ideal for families, offering movies under the stars and, occasionally, lawn games.

Note: Camp at Sea operates daily from 9:00 AM to 10:00 PM, with free lunch/dinner options during specific hours.  Children aged 10-12 can sign themselves in/out, while those 3-9 require adult sign-in. Children must be at least 6 months old to sail and must be fully potty trained to participate in Camp at Sea activities.
