I spent the first weekend in December in Nashville! It was a whirlwind of a trip, but we made the most of our 2.5 days in the city! If you are planning to spend time in Nashville and are looking for the perfect place to stay, be sure to reach out to me and I’m happy to help you book your trip. You definitely want to stay somewhere close within walking distance of everything. Being able to get to Broadway within a few minutes of a walk was great. It saved on Uber rides and made it great to be able to get to/from the hotel and to the spots that we wanted to visit within a short period of time.

Nashville is such a cool city to visit. You could spend days visiting there! I definitely recommend at least 3 full days if you want to try and see as much as possible without feeling overly exhausted like we did lol! Be sure to make reservations in advance for the popular dining locations (like Hampton Social) because if they are fully booked, they will not take up walk-up seating and you don’t want to miss the delicious monkey bread!!

Below are some of my “Must Dos” when visiting Nashville:

Tootsie’s Orchid Lounge
Broadway: Visit Luke Bryan, Kid Rock, Miranda Lambert’s bars (and so many more!)
Printer’s Alley
Belle Meade Plantation
Ryman Auditorium
Grand Ole Opry
Tootsie’s Orchid Lounge

Tootsie’s Orchid Lounge is one of the most famous bars on downtown Nashville’s Broadway. It has hosted dozens of Country Music legends like Faron Young, Charley Pride, Patsy Cline, and Loretta Lynn. It’s a smaller bar with different music on each level, but it’s definitely worth checking out! My favorite bars on Broadway are Kid Rock’s Big Ass Honky Tonk. It is huge with music on different levels and includes open windows and a rooftop bar overlooking Broadway. There are so many great ones to visit, you could spend so much time going in and out of all of them! Belle Meade Plantation is a great winery (different than Napa wineries) but it is fun to visit and tour the plantation. We bought tickets to Ryman Auditorium the morning we visited, but you can buy them in advance if you know the date you plan to visit.

Brunch at Hampton Social
Hattie B’s Hot Chicken
Milk and Honey
Skull’s Rainbow Room
Martin’s BBQ Joint
Twelve Thirty Club
The River House
We loved Hampton Social for brunch! If you can, request a table by the window to overlook the river and the Nissan Stadium. Hattie B’s Hot Chicken is delicious and worth the wait! You will have to order at the counter and then find a seat, but if you can get there before it opens to wait or pick a nonpopular time to eat, then your wait could be much shorter. Go early to Milk and Honey for breakfast (before 9 AM) so that way you don’t have to wait long. If you get there and there is a wait, the “Wings” mural is down the street and it’s an easy walk to it. Skull’s Rainbow Room is so cool! It’s super small so book your reservations in advance. This is a famous speakeasy in Printer’s Alley and the food is delicious. It’s definitely worth the visit. Twelve Thirty Club is Justin Timberlake’s restaurant. It’s really big inside and the bar is huge. We stopped in for espresso martinis and they were so good. I love the vibe/theme inside. The River House is a great upscale steakhouse. We made reservations the same day, but since it wasn’t a popular day to visit, it wasn’t hard to get a reservation. Definitely try to make those in advance if you can. They have great steaks!

The Gulch
Acme Feed and Seed
Draper James
The Gulch has fun shops and restaurants including Uncommon James and Kittenish. It’s a fun spot to spend the morning! Acme Feed and Seed has a cute store and it’s close to Hampton Social. This is a good spot to walk to after brunch on your way back to Broadway.
