Journey of Water – Inspired by Moana has officially opened at Disney’s Epcot! This is a self-guided outdoor trail where you’ll interact and play with water and learn all about the water cycle. This interactive outdoor trail is a great place to relax and rest during the day.

As you stroll along the trail, you will play and interact with water in different ways as you learn about the global water cycle. You will then take on an adventure learning about water and ways you can protect it as well as how to make a positive impact on the world. I love how this is themed around Moana, where you are taking on a journey with water just like she did!

There are 2 different paths to take. You can take the “Wet” path and choose to get wet or you can take the “Dry” path and still play and explore the areas without worrying about getting wet.

Meet Moana
You’ll also be able to meet Moana in World Nature near the entrance to Journey of Water so be on the lookout for her!

Pro Tip

There are tons of water features to play in so be sure to pack a bathing suit for the kids to change into or bring a spare change of clothes for the kids after you’re finished with the trail. This is a great place to cool down and take a break during the day.

Virtual Queue

A virtual queue may be used during periods of high demand for Journey of Water- Inspired by Moana.

When a virtual queue is available, guests visiting Epcot can join throughout the day starting at 9:00 AM, using the My Disney Experience app. Guests must be in Epcot to join the virtual queue. Each guest can request to enter this virtual queue only once per day during regular park hours.

A standby queue may not be available when a virtual queue is in use.

Note: Some parts of this experience may close during inclement weather.

Who is excited about this?  I think it’s a great new feature to the expansion of Epcot and a great place to cool off with kids on a hot day! Ready to book your vacation to Walt Disney World and experience this new area at Disney’s Epcot? Contact me and let’s start planning!
